Are you experiencing symptoms of preterm birth?
Contact your doctor, nurse, or midwife if you experience any of the warning signs of preterm labor.
fFN testing predicts and protects.
A fetal fibronectin test is one of the most powerful predictors of preterm birth.1 It is a simple non-invasive test that can be done in the hospital or in the doctor’s office, similar to a pap test.
The vast majority of patients will receive a negative Rapid fFN® test result, meaning they have less than a 1% chance of delivering in the next 2 weeks, which can help avoid unnecessary interventions.2 A positive Rapid fFN® result indicates a higher risk of a preterm delivery and helps healthcare providers decide which interventions are appropriate.
Early birth is the most common cause of health problems in newborns today.3
1 in 10 babies born in the United States are born premature.4
It’s important to know the signs and symptoms of preterm labor.
What is fetal fibronectin?
fFN is a “glue-like” protein that helps bond your baby to the uterus. If fFN is detectable in vaginal discharge during weeks 22–35 gestation, it means that the protein is “leaking,” which can be a sign that your body is getting ready to deliver early.2 An fFN test result can help your healthcare provider differentiate between Braxton Hicks contractions and true preterm labor.
