Benefits of a negative Rapid fFN® result
Avoid unnecessary interventions
Approximately 80% of patients will receive a negative Rapid fFN® result.1
A negative Rapid fFN® result can help:
- Rule out imminent preterm labor
- Provide physician and patient reassurance
- Avoid unnecessary interventions admissions, and transfers
Optimal administration of steroids
A single course of corticosteroids is recommended for women at high risk of preterm delivery. However, timing is important because ACOG recommends no more than 2 doses the course of pregnancy. Both negative and positive fFN test results can help guide management decisions related to administration of antenatal corticosteroids.2
