About Fetal Fibronectin Testing

A fetal fibronectin (fFN) test is a safe, reliable way to find out if your body is getting ready to deliver your baby. It’s a simple, non-invasive test that can be given in the hospital or in your doctor’s office and is one of the most powerful predictors of preterm birth.

Most patients will receive a negative result, and a negative result means you have less than a 1% chance of delivering in the next 14 days, which can provide significant peace of mind.1
